When it comes to bones, I have found it is best to give a solid type bone, ones that do not splinter. Big ham bones are nice and they usually last awhile. Chicken bones are not good for animals, they splinter and can get stuck in their windpipe and choke. They also sell solid bones at pet stores and some grocery stores. I prefer not to give dogs rawhide bones if they are heavy chewers, they tend to bite of bigger pieces and swallow them or end up choking on them.
